I love to write blogs about questions clients send me regarding their websites or Facebook Marketing / Management. This morning I received an inbox from one of my long time clients asking how do you merge duplicate Facebook pages. Believe it or not, it is very simple process that will take you less than a minute to do on your own. Please watch the video below or follow steps I’ve placed in this blog.
You first need to either search “Request to Merge Your Duplicate Pages or you can follow this link, “Merge Duplicate Pages”, to go directly there. Once there you will first select the Facebook page you want to keep from the drop down list. This page should most likely be the page with the most “likes” and most recent information. See image below.
Once you have made that selection just scroll down the screen and select the page you want to merge. As you can see in the image below you have the option to merge more than one page. See image below as a reference.
Please not that you can only merge pages that you actually manage. Therefore if you are a content manager you must be set up as an admin on the additional page you want to merge. In my case there is only one to choose from; a page I set up a while ago that I never did anything with. See image below.
After you have selected the page or pages you want to merge, simply click send. You will see a pop up window notifying you that Facebook will send you an email response shortly and you’re all done. See an example of the email response you will see below.
Thank you Juanita Ware Coleman, Owner of J&J a Taste of Home Catering for asking this question.
